With the rising cost of own a pet in recent years and new technologies in medical treatment that makes it for the first time possible for pets to undergo like treatments as humans for killer diseases. Does it really make sense to add your pet to your insurance? We all know Healthcare is rising in costs and these similar treatments aren’t cheap. It might make sense to get Pet Insurance if anything might go wrong with your pet.

- Treatment For Animals is a Reality. Once terminal illnesses for pets like cancers or other fatal conditions can now be treated and even cured. Amazing! It is now possible to have you pet receive a KAT-SCAN or even get kidney transplant. While the news is amazing for Dogs,Cats, and Birds. These procedures can cost anywhere from $1,000 and up.
- New medical technology. Vets are well equiped like human doctors to asses your pet’s health. The test and screens are now more sophisticated. Now Pets, can recevie MRIs just like humans and show problems that would have gone undiscovered and untreated.
- Rising Health-care Cost. You don’t need me to tell you things are getting more expenisve everywhere. And when there’s a problem with the family dog or cat. It’s hard to not help but even harder when you don’t have the money to afford the treatment.

I think it’s important if you feel your pet is important. I’ve heard many people say this about their pets: ‘They are like one of the family.’ I have been guilty of saying that about my pets as well. You can see how people feel about their pet when their pet passes away. Many are devasted. So if you love your pet like family then get some insurance to better your chance having your little family member around for a little while longer. If they are not important to you, then why have them!
True. Plus I think just the costs involved with going to the Vet. Who can afford it out of pocket anymore?
I think it’s well worth the money for the peace of mind. Here in the UK it’s well worth shopping around though. Some insurance providers will not pay out year on year for chronic illnesses and others have cut off ages for insuring your pet and ages over which you cannot take out insurance.

will there is any investigation to the pet before claiming ? just worry for some people who don’t care about their pet, just because of money.
I have to say as a long term cat owner I have never bothered with the Insurance (i’m sure I will eat my words soon now lol) but anyway, it would cost me here in the UK about £30 per month to Insure my 2 cats and have never had to pay out a vet bill over £65.
I’m hoping I will not now have to pay out any more than that amount other wise I will feel very silly!!!
